SUBSTANCE ABUSE. MOOD DISORDERS. EMOTIONAL REGULATION.
Though best known for treating Borderline Personality Disorder in women, the effectiveness of DBT has been supported by research for treating a variety of issues including addiction, depression, impulsivity, anger, self-injury, and more. DBT-SUD is effective for patients with multiple, complex problems rooted in emotional dyscontrol who have not responded to other evidence-based approaches.
A ROADMAP FOR RECOVERY.
“Addiction is often described as a sort of hell—a world of dependence, pain (both physical and mental), desperation, and loss,” says DBT Founder Dr. Marsha M. Linehan. “DBT-SUD provides a useful roadmap out of hell—a way of realizing that feelings aren’t something to avoid or diminish with drugs or alcohol, but the actual fabric of life itself.”
REAL HELP. REAL SOLUTIONS.
No case is exactly the same. We create concentrated programming around the needs of each woman. Environmental Interventions (EV’s) provide real world support to root out old habits. During a 30-day stay, patients will be exposed to all core DBT skills.
